| In 1948, the same motor was used as in the 1947 engine, but the thick nickel rims used on the drive wheels were gone. They were replaced with the much thinner rims that were blackened and installed only on the first and fourth drivers. The tender number was changed to 6020W, reflecting the conversion to magnetic couplers. |
